I’m a teacher, get me out of here!

27th June 2012 from Family Fund

Chloe and Tilly, from Huntington High School in York took part in a mentoring project with students from York University, Rachel Heys and Grace Matthews.

Rachel and Grace met with Chloe and Tilly to discuss how to improve their planning and leadership skills.  Part of this was to organise a charity event at the School where the teachers would take part in a range of challenges similar to that of the television show “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here”.

After some thorough research, they decided their chosen charity would be the Family Fund.

They created a drink concoction of garlic, tomato, pepper and vinegar for the teachers to drink as well as baking tuna and vegetable cakes and making them search for stars in a gunge tank!

They also sold Family Fund wristbands and pin badges on the day, raising £120 for the Fund.
