If you have been helped by us already, the letter we sent confirming the grant tells you when we can consider a further application from you. This is usually 12 months from the date of your last grant, but may be longer.

We can only consider an application before this time in exceptional circumstances, such as an emergency or critical situation. Early grant applications must be made by completing a paper application form.

Can you apply online?

You can apply online if you can answer yes to the following:

  • You have been helped by the Family Fund before.
  • Your circumstances have not changed since your last Family Fund award was made (this includes change of address, change in child’s condition, change of carer, change of bank details/payee etc.)
  • You want to apply for any of the items listed within the drop down menu on the online application. These items are clothing, bedding, washing machines, tumble dryers, buggy accessories, fridges, fridge freezers, freezers, washer dryers, dishwashers, outings, cookers, computers, Butlins breaks, Haven breaks, overseas family breaks, beds, games consoles, trampolines, outdoor play equipment, games, books and music. If you would like to apply for something that is not listed here please complete a paper application form instead.

If you can answer yes to all of the above, please see below how to register for your online account.  If you are requesting more than one item, please put your requests in the order of importance to you and your disabled or seriously ill child (with the first item being the most important).  Please note that we may not be able to help with everything you ask for. 

Online account

You can now register for a Family Fund online account.  This online account will make it easier for you to manage and monitor applications to us and update personal details including change of address, information about partners and details of social workers or health visitors.

To register for the online account, you must be the main carer, and must:

  •  have an email address registered with us
  • click on the apply online button below and login using that email address and your Family Fund number
  • set up a secure password and other security details that are known only to you.

If you do not have an email address registered with us and would like to register for an online account, please contact our team directly by telephoning 0844 974 4099 and they can take you through the process.  If you have problems getting through on the phone, please email info@familyfund.org.uk or send us a message via our online contact form and a member of our team will call you back.
